The role of the Security Guard is to patrol for suspicious or dangerous activity that might be detrimental to the safety of the facility or any people present. The Security Guard is also responsible for greeting visitors, checking in truck drivers and vendors, and controlling traffic.
Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence or rules and safety violations.
Perform fire prevention, safety and maintenance tasks and parking/traffic enforcement.
Greet incoming visitors, sign visitors in and out, notify correct parties of their guests arrival.
Sign truck drivers in and out of property, notify shipping/receiving of incoming shipments.
Respond to alarms and emergency situations – Fire, active shooter, trucking incidents, etc.
Make periodic tours of grounds to check for irregularities and suspicious activity.
Help with snow removal on walkways to the plant during the winter months.
Clean and maintain the guard shack at all times.
Experience – Must have at least 2 years of related experience.
Dependable – Must be reliable and available to work from 07:00am 03:00pm Monday Friday.
Professional – The Security Guard is the face of Monogram and is often the first person the visitor will meet. Must remain professional and pleasant at all times.
Patient – This position deals different people (applicants, truck drivers, vendors, etc.) Must be patient and respectful with all contacts.
Strong communication Able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and radio. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
Multi-tasking – Must be able to handle multiple duties at once and work under pressure. Must be proactive and alert at all times.
Attention to detail – Must be able to complete paperwork timely and accurately.
Physically fit – Must be able to be on feet, patrolling the grounds several times during shift to check building security.
This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
