Integrated Media Systems (IMS) is looking for a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Audio Video & Security Systems Helper to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to start a hands-on career in the audio/video and security installation industry.
As an apprentice/helper, you will support experienced technicians in the installation and pre-wiring of advanced A/V and security systems while gaining valuable skills to grow into a full-time technician role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation of audio/video systems, including home theaters, speakers, TVs, control systems, and security systems.
Support the organization and running of wiring during the pre-wire phases of projects.
Help senior technicians with mounting equipment, as well as handling tools and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized job site and ensure the tech van is kept in order.
Assist in tracking and reporting completed/incomplete tasks.
Learn to interpret basic blueprints and schematics under the guidance of senior technicians.
Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all job sites.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in learning about A/V and security systems technology.
Willingness to work in an apprentice/helper role for several years to develop skills.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn.
Basic hand tool experience is a plus but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
