The ASA will assist the Government Program Manager with the development and implementation of comprehensive program protection methodologies to safeguard advanced technology programs throughout their lifecycle.

How an ASA Will Make an Impact

Conduct in-depth lifecycle program analysis to identify critical program information (CPI), Critical System Resources (CSR), and their vulnerabilities.

Assist with the identification and implementation of countermeasures.

Develop and implement a risk-managed program protection plan and strategy.

Provide technical advice and security support to collateral and SAP programs and emerging mission areas.

Offer security guidance to the GSSO and PM related to the Air Force acquisition and sustainment process.

Provide guidance on contract security requirements, considering cost, feasibility, and appropriateness.

Maintain relationships with Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and security officers to ensure proper procedures for DD Form 254 efforts.

Support program protection/security officers in developing and executing Program Protection Planning (PPP).

Assess threats and risks, develop risk management actions, and implement long-term solutions.

Assist in creating security documents such as OPSEC plans, transition plans, and emergency action plans.

Review program documentation for public release, ensuring proper markings and classifications per Air Force doctrine.

Analyze foreign intelligence threats against programs involving sensitive technologies or CPI.

Produce analytical products from various resources and databases for real-time, tailored insights.

Provide classification guidance for all security programs, including collateral and SAP.

Analyze Counterintelligence reports and prepare summaries of activities impacting customer resources.

Review and edit security documentation such as Security Classification Guides, Exposure Contingency Plans, and SOPs.

Support system security engineers in SAP close-out actions.

Develop and deliver quarterly and annual security training for personnel.

Provide OPSEC support to SAF/AAZ, SAF/AQ, and related operations and missions.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

10+ years of related experience.

2+ years of SAP experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).

Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.

Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.

TS/SCI security clearance required, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.

Extensive knowledge of DD Form 254 and its role in the Air Force acquisition process.
