Responsibilities:Demonstrate currency with other DSS training related to information, personnel, industrial, and physical security programs. Provide F/B Directorate security operations support, including preparing and coordinating security-related briefing materials and assist in recording and tracking security program action items and suspenses. Manage newcomer and security-related databases, offer special administrative and logistical assistance for the directorate’s visitor control function and maintain an active Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) account and verify personnel security clearances. Process personnel security investigation documents and review their accuracy, assist in developing security requirements for contractual commitments and coordinate the DoD Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254). Aid personnel in completing security investigation paperwork and tracking personnel security clearances. Assist with a wide range of security management, analytical, technical, and support services for programs managed by DoD, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, and the AFLCMC F/B Directorate and serve as the focal point for security, analyze security procedures, and recommend solutions for security deficiencies. Support the implementation of information, personnel, and industrial security programs to safeguard classified material as well as implement resource protection, force protection, and anti-terrorism programs in alignment with security policies. Conduct end-of-day safety and security checks for assigned facilities. Identify security issues and propose changes to security policies for consideration. Analyze procedures related to classified or critical weapon system hardware and provide reports with recommended actions. Evaluate measures designed to deny unauthorized access.
Education:MA/MS from an accredited university.
Allowable Substitution:BA/BS and fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, five of which must be in the DoD. Or, twenty (20) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight of which must be in the DoD
Experience:Ten (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
Other:An Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
