We are seeking a highly experienced and dependable Gatehouse Security Guard to join our team at a manufacturing plant. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the security and smooth operation of the gatehouse by monitoring activity, managing truck check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining clear communication with key plant personnel. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and uphold strict safety and procedural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Observe and report all activities at the gatehouse, maintaining a detailed log of events and incidents.
Check trucks in and out of the plant, verifying driver credentials and ensuring compliance with entry/exit protocols.
Communicate effectively with key plant employees regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner using computer systems.
Uphold security protocols to protect the facility and its personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must possess a valid Florida Security License (Class D).
Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is required for effective communication.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must have basic computer skills for logging activities, managing paperwork, and communication.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
Prior experience as a security guard, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting, is highly preferred.
Compensation:
Starting pay rate of $15.00 per hour, reflecting the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
