This position will mitigate and prevent criminal behaviors and report information as needed to other guards and management. The security guard must be well-trained in dealing with those in mental crisis. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.
The primary locations are in Oklahoma City, but other locations could be assigned for fill in or on a regular schedule in the greater metro area.
Responsibilities
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring access points, investigating incidents
Submit complete and detailed reports as required, recording observations, information and occurrences throughout shift
Follow procedures specific to each location, building professional relationships with facility staff and visitors
Monitor visitors as required by facility
Monitor and authorize entrance of mental health patients
Provide assistance to people in need
Search all patients entering the facility for weapons
Secure patients’ personal property
Skills
Proven experience as security officer or guard, strong conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
CLEET Licensed as an armed security guard
High School diploma or equivalent is required
