Advanced Professional Securityis seekingprofessional Armed Security Servicesto protect and preserve city assets, promote positive customer service, and provideeffective public interaction and supervisionof city buildings and facilities.Scope of Services:Qualified security personnel will be responsible for ensuring thesafety and security of city employees, visitors, and property. Responsibilities include:
Protecting and preservingcity assets, buildings, and facilities
Promoting a safe and welcoming environmentfor city employees, residents, and visitors
Providing professional customer servicewhile interacting with the public
Supervising and monitoringCity of Centennial buildings and grounds
Presenting and enforcing acceptable public behaviorwithin city facilities
Conducting security screeningsof individuals entering city buildings, as required
Screening for weapons and contraband(note: no magnetometers or screening devices are currently in use)
Responding to incidents, disturbances, and security threatsprofessionally and effectively
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must belicensed and certifiedto carry a firearm in the State of Colorado
Priorlaw enforcement,preferred
Strongconflict resolution and de-escalation skills
Ability toenforce policies while maintaining professionalism and respect
Familiarity withpublic safety procedures, emergency response, and access control
Excellentverbal and written communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods and conduct patrols as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
