Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety protocols. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and conflict management while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Operate and maintain CCTV systems to monitor activities within the facility.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Assist in conflict management by de-escalating situations and providing support during disputes.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not required.
Valid security certification is a plus; additional training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or issues.
Must possess effective communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel.
