Security Coordinator – Security
Northridge Hospital Medical Center
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and professional Security Coordinator to oversee and manage the hospital’s security operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The Security Coordinator will work closely with hospital administration, security personnel, and local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment and enforce hospital policies regarding security and safety.

Responsibilities
Assists the security director with developing and maintaining department operations, and carrying out administrative functions and tasks as assigned by the director.
Assists with badging office operations and making badges, granting and removing badge access levels, and developing access levels.
Coordinates, supports and adheres to Security Department policies, post orders, and procedures guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts.
Manage security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
Maintains current knowledge of new methods, products, trends, and practices in hospital security and emergency management.
Reports unsafe acts or conditions to the Supervisor/ Lead Officer/ Director promptly.
Work with other hospital departments, including nursing, facilities, and administration, to ensure seamless integration of security protocols into the overall healthcare delivery process.
Participate in security awareness training programs for employees.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role required.
Minimum of 1-year experience as shift lead in hospital Security. Or a minimum of 2 years as a Public Safety/Security officer preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Completion of college-level education courses in criminal justice preferred.
A current Driver’s License issued by the State where the position is posted, with a satisfactory DMV report on file, is required at the time of hire.
California Security Officer License required.
AHA BLS required (must obtain 60 days of start date)
Fire Safety Card required. (must obtain 90 days of start date).
Pay Range
$24.96 – $34.31 /hour
