Rex Security Patrol Inc. in Houston, TX is looking for 1 full-time security officer to join our strong team. Our Business Office is located on 2500 Wilcrest Dr. Suite 371. All interviews will be held at our Business Office not the working location.
We are looking for 1 Security Officer to patrol: MAA Apartment complex in Spring, TX.
Shift (final shift is still pending):
Monday to Sunday : 6 hour shift
– OR –
Mandatory Friday – Sunday; 2 days rotation Monday – Thursday (2 days OFF per week): 6 hour shift

Each Officer is to submit a written/typed DAR for each day worked within 24 hours of shift ending. All reports will be emailed to CEO, Office Manager and property manager.
Responsibilities
Being a visible authoritarian figure capable of deterrence
Enforcing laws and regulations related to trespassing
Guarding high-traffic areas and monitoring all visitors
Checking the identification of visitors
Taking charge of bag-checking security procedures (if applicable)
Preventing access to and photo in forbidden areas
Performing routine inspections in the area they are guarding
Securing specific areas during maintenance work and emergencies
Monitoring activities by foot patrol and/or patrol vehicles
Staying alert and observant at all times
Reporting suspicious activities
Recognizing potential threats and taking steps to mitigate them
Responding to emergencies
Participating in rescue operations with firefighters and police if needed
Detecting criminal or dangerous and detaining possible suspects
Informing the police about criminal incidents
Summoning the paramedics in case of assaults and injuries
Advising people about necessary safety precautions
Hourly patrol rounds
Wand scans of all marked locations (if applicable) on Silvertrac
Qualifications
Minimum 1+ year(s) as Security Officer/Guard.
Unarmed security needed Guard Card
Armed security: Valid Commission License
Registered Firearm to individual
Valid Social Security Number
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Green card
Valid Work Visa
18+ years of age
Reliable transportation to and from onsite location
Ability to travel to Business Office when needed
Reliable and working cell phone to Clock in/out and view upcoming schedule.
