Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
Responsibilities
– Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of the premises
– Monitor surveillance equipment and respond to alarms
– Enforce property regulations and city laws
– Respond to emergencies and provide assistance when needed
– Complete detailed reports on incidents and maintain accurate records
Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D certificate.
Must successfully pass a medical examination.
Correctable vision to 20/20
Ability to hear ordinary conversation at a distance of 10 feet without the use of artificial hearing devices.
Free from illegal drug use.
To ensure compliance, all Security Officers shall be subject to random drug screening according to Vendor standards.
Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) in the English language.
Free from any physical or emotional disorder, or any hindrance that may inhibit or preclude meeting the professional standards required by the SOW or Agreement
Security Officers must possess the ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Assess and evaluate situations effectively.
All tattoos must be covered and not visible.
Physically able to perform all functions of the role of a Security Officer
No visible body piercings
Well-groomed appearance, in compliance with Vendor Grooming Standards
Uniform kept neat, clean and in good condition.
Security Officers must be able to obtain and maintain, as well as carry with them at all times their security certifications, as required and applicable.
Security officer must maintain, on their person, a government issued identification, with photograph, no more than four (4) years old.
Security officer will maintain on their person at all times while on duty, the necessary emergency telephone numbers, including police, fire department, the Bank and Vendor
All Security Officers will remain alert while on duty.
Security Officers are not to be distracted while on duty, including but not limited to activities such as: talking on the cell phone, playing games, listening to music via Bluetooth devices, video streaming with any cell phone or electronic device.
Security Officers must be certified by the state in which the security guard is providing the service, as required by law.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements.
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Qualifications
– Prior experience in loss prevention or surveillance preferred
– Possession of CPR and First Aid certifications
– Strong conflict management skills
– Familiarity with CCTV systems
– Military or law enforcement background is a plus
– Must hold a valid armed security officer certificate

Pay: $24.00 – $24.01 per hour
