Full Job Description
We are looking for a Full-time Armed Officer who will assist in providing protection for our clients in downtown Salt Lake. If you have experience in both security work and customer service, apply below! This position pays $20 – $22 per hour depending on experience.
Your Shift
Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 6:00pm, 1 hour lunch break, and 7:00pm – 11:00pm.
***Schedule will also require alternating Sundays from 7:00pm – 11:00pm
What You’ll Do:
Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas
Provide customer service to all clientele as well as customers, vendors, and members of the public
Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures
Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials to accessing buildings
Alert appropriate personnel about issues regarding loss prevention, client concerns, or customer needs
Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents
Complete incident and daily activity reports
Wear Peak issued security uniform
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
1+ years of private armed security experience
Utah Armed Private Security License preferred or willingness to obtain
Clean background and ability to pass a pre-hire drug screen
Must have a cell phone to communicate with our dispatch team (your safety is just as important!)
Able to comfortably alternate between standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs for the duration of the shift
Customer Service oriented
Required to work nights, holidays, and weekends
