This position follows a Panama shift schedule and involves 12-hour shifts. Days to be determined.
Ability to pass state and FBI background checks is required. Felony convictions or certain misdemeanors may disqualify candidates from licensing as a private security officer in Arkansas. This position is safety and security sensitive under the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act and subject to drug testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A security officer is often the first and last impression of our company. Up to 90% of the job involves delivering excellent customer service.
Control access points to prevent unauthorized entry and theft.
Greet and assist visitors, and bid farewell as they depart.
Patrol premises to prevent unauthorized activities and detect maintenance issues.
Challenge unauthorized persons on property.
Monitor surveillance systems for safety and security.
Operate security systems and maintain alerts for suspicious activity or hazards.
Intervene in disturbances and assist law enforcement as needed.
Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and transport individuals if necessary.
Conduct security audits and write reports.
Maintain records of security activities and manage equipment and access control.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Arkansas driver’s license, current security officer commission, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. Must maintain active licenses and carry them on duty. A DUI/DWI may disqualify.
Additional Qualifications
Must be 21+, bondable, and able to carry firearms as per law. Successful background check and drug test required.
Physical Requirements
Must meet physical stamina tests and be able to respond to emergency activities, including lifting up to 75 pounds, running, and standing for extended periods. Outdoor work and exposure to weather are expected.
Salary
Starting at $40,000 annually, increasing to $48,000 after certification.
