Job Overview:
The Morning Post Commander will be responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the building and plaza from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday to Saturday. This includes monitoring CCTV, ensuring all procedures are followed, assisting with the opening of the plaza, managing crowds, and addressing any security issues. The role is critical for maintaining the smooth operations of the building during early hours and solving any immediate problems that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
CCTV Monitoring: Monitor surveillance footage to ensure building safety.
Gate Operations: Assist in opening gates and securing entrances as per procedures.
Key and Radio Management: Distribute keys and radios to other security staff.
Tenant and Customer Interaction: Greet tenants and customers, offering assistance when necessary.
Security Assistance: Help maintain a safe environment by managing crowd control and addressing security concerns.
Problem Management: Address and resolve issues promptly, ensuring adherence to all building procedures.
Lead by example, demonstrating strong security skills and fostering a cooperative environment for the security team.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of security experience.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and work well with fellow plaza guards.
Communication Skills: Effectively interact with tenants, customers, and management.
Problem-Solving: Swiftly address and resolve any security or operational problems.
Memory Skills: Retain and execute building procedures and time-based tasks.
Must possess a Guard Card, Work Permit, and two forms of identification.
Work Environment:
This position is based at a lobby post.
You will work as part of a two-person team during your shift.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in security procedures and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary of $17.28 per hour.
