POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Officer Lead is required to guard and monitor company grounds to protect and secure the company’s property, team members, and visitors. In this role, you will also maintain a high visibility presence. The goal is to detect, deter, observe, and report.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, and monitoring surveillance equipment, and access point.
Greets and directs visitors and maintains a visitor’s log.
Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
Reasonably intervenes in situations that threaten the safety and security of our team members, visitors, and property.
Escorts discharged team members, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
Controls the entrance and departure of team members, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols.
Provides detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that have occurred to management.
Provides CPR or first aid when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma or equivalent
2-3 years’ experience in security role
Security guard training certificate preferred but not required.
Decision-making skills in possible high-pressure situations
Comfort with directing people.
Handles basic issues and problems.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to assess your own behavior, while also paying attention to team members and visitors
Listening skills and attentiveness
Attention to detail is a must.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
