Job Skills / Requirements
Must have a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License and Driver’s License
Firearm and Full Duty Belt Provided at No Cost

SCOPE: Armed Security Officers protect the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, and visitors from criminal activity. They work as part of a team to control access points at a local military headquarters, serving as a point of contact for visitors and patrons. This role is vital in maintaining security and safety.
Schedule
(3rd shift 11:00 P.M.
– 7:00 A.M.) Saturday-Wednesday
Full-time (30-39 hrs/week)
Compensation
Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hour

LOCATION: Battle Creek, Michigan
Job Description/Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service
Guard posts at entry/exit points of the military base
Conduct foot & vehicle patrols to ensure safety
Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas
Check IDs of employees, vendors, and visitors
Monitor for suspicious activities or packages
Follow site-specific post guidelines
Document activities and report incidents
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License
High School diploma or GED
No felony convictions; pass background check
Pass drug testing
U.S. citizen
Impeccable grooming and professional appearance
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean record
Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience preferred
Physical requirements include ability to walk, respond to emergencies, lift up to 70 pounds, and pass a Physical Agility Test within 90 days
