The Driver position is a key role within 167 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps’ based in Grantham. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of three delivering support to enable the unit to deliver essential outputs. Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be able to work closely with their civilian and military colleagues, as well as prioritising their own workload effectively.
Key Areas Of Responsibility Will Include:
Assist in the management of the day to day running of the unit fleet
Issuing and receipting equipment to personnel
Ensuring all equipment is clean and serviceable
Maintaining documentation for auditing
This role may attract the opportunity for additional hours outside normal working times.
A degree of physical ability is required. The role will include lifting and carrying boxes (also loading / offloading vehicles), and placing / retrieve items and boxes from shelving that may be above head height. In accordance with health and safety guidance, the recommended maximum manual handling weight that applicants can expect to lift is men (25kg) and women(16kg).
