Position Summary:
Provide ongoing training and support of AP policies and procedures while managing, maintaining, and implementing loss prevention programs and security controls that eliminate risk and loss. The Asset Protection Manager establishes strong partnership with Management, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and the local law enforcement community, representing Goodwill in a professional manner that reflects the values and standards of the organization’s mission and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety:
Performs all functions in close collaboration with Compliance, HR, Internal Audit, and DGR Leadership.
Develops, plans, and implements asset protection/loss prevention training.
Ensures safety audits and inspections are performed routinely and opportunities communicated and addressed.

Loss Prevention:
Awareness & Prevention:
Communicates, trains, and educates on AP programs and strategies. Makes necessary adjustments when applicable to the needs of the business.
Assist in maintaining and updating loss prevention systems such as alarms, fire systems, LP software, cameras, and security systems for GWH.
Analyze and review of Point of Sales, WESA, overnight donor theft report, GPS audits, and cashier reports for suspicious activity and providing further research to determine potential loss or exposure to loss.
Continually review, analyze and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of protection policies and AP procedures for GWH.

Audits & Inspection
Ensure Asset Protection strategies and training are adhered to through audit and inspections. Communicates findings to respective leadership.
Partners with operational leadership and reviews audit/inspection tools to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks.
Facility Protection:
Leads, trains, and supports all efforts of facility key control, fobs (access control) and alarm systems while providing recommendations, implementation, and enforcement of all security procedures.
Assists with managing all aspects of key and alarm control access and procedures.
Supports investigation disturbances such as alarm calls, unlawful intrusion, fires, and property damage.
Monitor overnight donor door theft.

Investigations & Case Management:
Reviews and ensures the proper preparation of cases for presentation at hearings or in court, testifies as a witness at hearings and court proceedings, and present evidence of violations relating but not limited to federal, state, local law violations or internal policy violations.
Partners with Human Resources and Operations management for successful and timely completion of internal investigations.
Maintains confidentiality of and uses discretion in dealing with sensitive or controversial issues and information.

Partnership:
Establish and maintain effective relationships to performs all functions in close collaboration with Human Resources, Internal Audit, and DGR Leadership.
Respond and assist to all critical incidents and emergency response situations including communication, problem solving, and remediation.
Partners with operational leadership and reviews AP incident trends to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks.
Take a sense of pride and ownership in helping drive positive results for a team serving five districts across the GWH enterprise.

Training:
Conducts new hire orientation as it relates to AP and supports Safety training as assigned.
Attends and participates in weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetings at corporate and store level.
Supports Management by providing feedback and coaching while in the field.
Ensures 100% customer satisfaction and buy-in while delivering training.
Contribute to the development of Asset Protection program, provide direction and leadership in initiating new programs and manage training and awareness program that supports a proactive approach.
Assists in the developing of AP and Safety related training courses or content.
Reviews and supports in training of any Risk Management related SOPs and tools as assigned.

Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. This position may require travel to multiple locations daily.
Participate in mandatory training as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators:
85% of all facilities have their annual workplace assessments/inspections completed as scheduled.
85% of all Drill and Emergency tests are completed as scheduled.
All documented incidents are investigated and resolved with corrective action timely.
Tracks and Reports Status of “All” audits, meetings, and action plans (timely and relevant).
Training/Certification completion and compliance.
Increase Transaction value vs LY.
OSHA, Physical Security, Access Controls and HCP Compliance
Quality of investigation, and partnership with HR and Ops (prosecution and/or corrective action records managed mostly independently, measured by feedback from team leaders).
Integrity, timeliness and quality of AP and Safety Program Reporting

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience is preferred.
Five (5) years of Retail Safety or Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
LPQ/LPC certification preferred.
CCTV, Alarm maintenance and monitoring are preferred.
Access Control (electronic key and lock systems) is preferred.
Computer literacy to include MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, and pull. Able to lift, up to, 40 lbs.
Indoor work environment with occasional exposure to outside temperatures. The noise level in the normal work environment is, usually, moderate.
