All About Assets Protection

Assets Protection (AP) teams ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and the brand. They lead crisis response, prevent theft and fraud, and protect profitable sales by mitigating shortages.

Partnering with store leaders on shortage priorities

Leading and developing a team of hourly team members

Typical Daily Responsibilities

Supporting store sales and profitability through stock availability

Leading physical security measures and emergency responses

Educating teams on safety and security procedures

Developing and coaching team members

Managing staffing needs and schedules based on theft trends

Handling external theft incidents and supporting investigations

Promoting a safety culture and resolving safety hazards

Communicating AP priorities to teams and leadership

Building partnerships with store leadership

Leading safety initiatives and safety training

Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training

Acting as first responder for in-store incidents

Providing excellent guest service

Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will:

Enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Be passionate about customer service

Have experience leading teams in retail or loss prevention (preferred but not required)

Be adaptable and tech-savvy

Possess strong communication skills

Additional Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or equivalent

Legal requirements for the role as per state/local laws

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
