Our three divisions, Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems make DTB a diverse and interesting workplace.
Our extraordinary testing services are performed in one location at our 200,000+ square ft. laboratory. We support customers across all platforms and services in the military, aerospace, shipboard, railway, weapons manufacturers, automotive, and consumer worldwide industries.
As an AFSO, you will report directly to the Director of Corporate Compliance & Security. You will be expected, under limited supervision, to be responsible for administering security programs and procedures for classified and/or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment for assigned areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will need to manage a variety of inquiries of complex and diverse scope, using a comprehensive knowledge of the following:
The National Industrial Security Program (NISP) 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule
Strong understanding of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding National Security Information.
This position will require you to exercises judgment within generally defined precedents and policies to analyze, investigate, resolve issues and develop solutions while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors on appropriate action(s) to be taken and ensure compliance with the classified security program.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer and coordinate all security activities within company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal security regulations, directives, and manuals for safeguarding all National Security Information.
Establish and manage liaisons with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations.
Plan, develop, and manage specialized security programs and procedures for classified and CUI, documents and equipment.
Develop, review, and implement DOD classified procedures.
Process employee clearances
Assist the primary COMSEC custodian for incoming and outgoing classified/COMSEC material.
Develop, implement, and manage Standard Practices and Procedures security plans.
Primarily responsible for tracking, generating, and flowing down all prime and subcontract DD Forms 254 Contract Security Classification Specification documents for prime and subcontracts
Investigate and review all security violations, preparing reports, and recommending specific preventive and corrective action to be taken.
Implement visitor control procedures ensuring compliance with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule.
Maintaining controlled area access, alarm, and combination records, as well as security container access and combination records. Respond to alarms as necessary.
May act as security spokesperson to brief/debrief personnel.
Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work safely by established operating procedures and practices. Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.
Retain records of inventories throughout the facility
Knowledge of OPSEC procedures and application of OPSEC to Sensitive Government information preferred
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local security regulations as well as company policies
Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors, addressing security concerns professionally.
Experience in conducting security audits, internal and external
The ideal candidate will be required to have the following qualifications:
Minimum associate’s degree in business administration or a related discipline
4+ years of professional classified security experience in a corporate or government environment. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must have a comprehensive understanding of the NISP, and 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule and a complete and thorough knowledge of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding National Security Information.
Must possess the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope.
Strong communication, analytical, computer, and interpersonal skills are required.
Must be able to work independently and on a team and represent the company as the prime contact on external projects.
Demonstrate ability to manage internal and external record management systems (i.e. DISS/NBIS, NISS, eQIP, SF-86, DD1149’s)
Able to work extended hours and travel as required <5%.
Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities
Government Property, Lenel S2 database experience, Deltek Costpoint, a PLUS
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Level Required.
