Position: Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) with Security Clearance
Mayvin is seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) that will support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing and maintaining the client’s industrial security program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other federal regulations.
The AFSO will ensure compliance with security policies and procedures related to personnel security, physical security, information security, and facility security voir, VA, in support of USSOCOM operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in processing and tracking security clearances for employees, subcontractors, and consultants using DISS, e-QIP, and SWFT.
* Maintain personnel security records and ensure compliance with DoD and USSOCOM security requirements.
* Conduct initial security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training for cleared personnel.
* Support the FSO in maintaining the company’s Facility Security Clearance (FCL), ensuring compliance with DCSA regulations.
* Assist with self-inspections, security audits, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to NISPOM standards.
* Help oversee visitor control and access management, including badging and escorting of visitors.
* Assist with reporting and investigating security incidents, violations, and suspicious activities in coordination with the FSO.
* Ensure the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safeguarding classified information.
* Maintain records, security logs, and documentation required for government inspections and audits.
* Support physical security measures, including access control systems, alarms, and surveillance.
* Ensure proper marking, storage, and destruction of classified materials.
* Conduct security
education
and training programs for employees on security best practices, OPSEC, and insider threat awareness.
* Support the implementation of a robust Insider Threat Program as required by NISPOM.
Required Qualifications:
* Associate degree
* Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial security, facility security, or personnel security in a DoD/USSOCOM environment.
* Prior experience supporting an FSO in a cleared facility is highly desirable. About Mayvin:
