Job Description
A.T. Still University is seeking a non-exempt Campus Safety Officer to work on the Kirksville campus. The role requires working all shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Responsibilities include locking and unlocking doors, monitoring security activities, maintaining accurate reports and records, and providing protection for university properties.
Minimum Responsibilities
Lock and unlock doors according to departmental procedures.
Patrol the premises at least twice per shift.
Check for fire and safety hazards daily and report hazards.
Investigate incidents related to losses, thefts, or wrongful acts, and complete incident reports.
Question strangers and verify their presence.
Use physical restraints when directed by authority.
Respond promptly to emergency calls.
Manage lost and found articles and reports.
Maintain registration files for vehicles and ensure parking policy compliance.
Issue citations and assist with parking control.
Enter data accurately into computer systems.
Check and maintain communication equipment and vehicle fluids.
Assist in developing departmental goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
