Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Flex Officer to join our security team for all our NW Suburban Sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a proactive approach to conflict management, loss prevention, and surveillance, ensuring that all security protocols are followed effectively. The Flex Officer will be expected to adapt to various assignments and locations as needed.
Duties
Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to identify and address potential security threats.
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure safety.
Respond promptly to incidents, including conflicts or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
Implement loss prevention strategies to protect client property and assets.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance as necessary during emergencies.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations.
Attend training sessions to stay updated on security practices and enhance skills related to the position.
Requirements
Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred; certification in security-related fields is a plus.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and surveillance operations.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
Familiarity with CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between assignments.
A militarized background or law enforcement experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
