Building Security Monitor- FHS Jobs in Faribault, MN at Southeast Application Consortium
The Villages of Farragut, an upscale retirement community for independent seniors, is currently seeking a Part-Time Night Watch person for our community in Farragut, TN.
This 10-20 hours per week position includes 1 night-shift weekly from 10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m., with possible rotating weekends, and one evening shift from 5-10 pm. Flexibility is needed for occasional additional coverage. The position could be an excellent fit for a Veteran or retired law enforcement. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
Job Summary:
The Night Watch person will establish working relationships with residents, families, guests, employees, local law enforcement, EMS, and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of any and all activity that takes place at the community. Maintain a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Answer community phone during night shift
Respond to any emergency calls from residents.
Maintain professional image that includes greeting residents, families, visitors, customers and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
Report any suspicious activity and respond with urgency to potential emergencies.
Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents and emergency situations.
Monitor and control community entrances and exits during night hours to ensure security and safety of the residents.
Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills – Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Must clear background check and drug screen test
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to climb flights of stairs, walk and/or lift as required to perform the duties associated with functioning as a night watchman for security.
Skills/Abilities:
The night watch person is to be honest, alert and well-disciplined, as a custodian of the residents’ property and safety, as well as a custodian of the community property.
Strong customer service skills, exemplifying kindness and respect with an assertive approach.
Ability to be a hands-on, results-oriented employee, handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work as part of a team with constant and dedicated vigilance.
Work and respond with a sense of urgency as needed.
Strong communications skills. Desire to serve seniors. Must be team player.
Job Type: Part Time position available
Experience: Security: 1 year (Preferred but not required.) Position is an excellent fit for veterans or retired law enforcement officers.
