Description: The State Court Administrator’s office seeks a Chief Information Security Officer in our Information Technology Division (ITD). We are seeking a managerial and professional IT leader to provide oversight for the Cyber Security Unit. You will work as a senior leader in ITD, reporting to the Chief Information Officer. This position oversees the following security domains: security and risk management, asset management, security architecture and engineering, identity and access management, security operation and security assessments. Work includes short- and long-range strategic planning for the cyber security functional area and administration of IT policies, procedures, and services. The Chief Information Security Officer develops, maintains, and implements enterprise-wide security operations, including monitoring, event management, incident response, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and access management. Work is performed with considerable independence, and the role requires ability to assess and determine appropriate action to protect information systems. The program is reviewed for maturity, defense-in-depth strategy, and adherence to industry standards (NIST, CIS), with the results presented to internal audit and judicial governing bodies.
Examples of Job Duties
Present cyber security strategies to judicial governing bodies and provide updates on cyber security maturity and current program initiatives. Plan and monitor the use of information security resources; track and monitor resources to ensure effective and efficient use; forecast work and develop work plans. Assist and participate in budget planning; track and monitor budgets. Oversee an effective cyber security awareness training program. Conduct risk management assessments for information systems, assisting them in the identification, prioritization, and remediation of information system vulnerabilities. Assure security controls are in place in accordance with enterprise, network, and host-based policies.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of significant experience in the field of information technology information security, including supervisory experience. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, assessment tools, encryption, computer forensics, certificate authorities, web development, and security-related application development. Additional years of management or leadership experience. Previous experience participating in budget planning, tracking, and monitoring. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to manage complex projects and tasks. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse range of technical and business partners about complex information system technology, and to translate that information into terms understandable to non-technical employees.
