**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.
**Responsibilities:**
Monitor Entrances and Exits: Ensuring that all entry and exit points are secure.
Patrol the Premises: Regularly walking through the church and surrounding property to discourage and detect unauthorized individuals or activities.
Surveillance: Operating and monitoring security cameras to keep an eye on different areas of the premises.
Emergency Response: Quickly responding to alarms or calls for assistance within the church and handling emergency situations like fire, medical incidents, or threats.
Control and Direct Parking: Managing the parking areas during church services and events to ensure traffic flow and the safety of pedestrians.
Visitor Guidance: Providing directions and information to visitors and ensuring they feel welcome while also maintaining security.
Access Control: Ensuring only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas within the church.
Incident Reporting: Documenting and reporting any suspicious activities, incidents, or security breaches to appropriate church leadership or authorities.
Cooperation with Law Enforcement: Collaborating with local law enforcement in case of serious incidents or investigations.
Assist in Evacuation Procedures: Helping to plan and execute evacuation drills and real evacuations in an orderly and safe manner.
Maintain Safety Equipment: Regularly checking and maintaining security and safety equipment such as alarms, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
Provide First Aid: Offering initial first aid treatment in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
Enforce Regulations: Ensuring compliance with the church’s security policies and protocols by staff, congregants, and visitors.
Conflict Resolution: Managing and de-escalating conflicts or confrontations on the premises.
Safety Training: Participating in or conducting safety and security training sessions for other church staff and volunteers.
