MissionDoorLoop is hiring a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive information security strategy that safeguards the company’s sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure. As a CISO, you will foster a culture of security awareness across all departments, build and manage the IT department, and ensure our security measures align with industry standards and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s information security strategy, aligning with business objectives.

Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations and industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC1/2).

Define and oversee the integration of security systems and tools to protect sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure.

Manage security incident detection and response processes, including investigation, containment, recovery, and reporting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into software development, infrastructure management, and business processes.

Conduct regular security risk assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify areas for improvement.

Manage vendor relationships to evaluate, procure, and implement security technologies and services.

Provide executive-level reporting on the state of cybersecurity, risks, and ongoing initiatives.

Build and lead the company IT department, fostering a culture of collaboration between all company departments.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, advising on security implications of business decisions

Manage security issues, mitigating risk concerns for clients.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive responses to customer security questionnaires, ensuring alignment with the company’s security practices and commitments.

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security/technology.

At least 4 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, and SOC 2.

Proficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.

Background in managing incident detection and response processes, including forensic investigations.

Experience collaborating with software development and business teams to embed security into organizational processes.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams.

Familiarity with integrating security systems and tools across cloud environments.

Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, including the evaluation, procurement, and implementation of security solutions.
