Description:
Unique full-time opportunity for experienced security professionals to work at the high profile 900 N. Michigan Avenue property during the midnights/3rd shift (12 AM-8 AM). Position is with an in-house security group, servicing over 750,000 sq. ft. within a mixed used property that includes office and retail floors, and a 12-level self-park garage. Security role provides for the safety and security of both individuals and property at 900 N. Michigan Avenue, which may involve monitoring surveillance equipment, patrolling the premises, and enforcing security procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities Include:
Maintain and enforce security procedures set by building management
Effectively utilize and monitor security systems (surveillance and alarm systems)
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the safety of the premise
Conduct regular inspections to identify any security breaches or hazards
Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies properly
Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
Stay up to date on building events/operations to assist guests/visitors with directions and building information
Provide excellent customer service experience, assisting clients and visitors as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Applicants must have a consistent work history that demonstrates attention to detail in security and/or customer focused functions, with exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presentation, and an ability to operate within a team.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related field is preferred
Dispatch experience and familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance equipment is strongly preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
High school diploma required
Ability to transverse the property
*Overtime is a mandatory requirement, so ideal candidates will have flexibility to assist in coverage on other shifts, based on scheduling needs.
