Key Responsibilities
Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure safety.
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people, following proper procedures.
Control access points, verify credentials, and ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas.
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
Use excellent customer service skills to deescalate tense situations.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
Document and report incidents and observations accurately.
Inspect premises for risks or violations and report findings.
Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security licensure in Florida.
Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
Protect company property and staff by maintaining a safe environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
Remain calm and function independently in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class “D” Security License.
Prior experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.
Pass a background check and drug screening.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Specific work hours:
Monday-Tuesday 10am-5pm, Wednesday 3pm-11pm, Sunday 7am-3pm.
Work Environment
Primary post at a gatehouse in Florida, requiring indoor and outdoor work.
Exposure to varying weather conditions.
