Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on conflict management, surveillance, and loss prevention. The Security Officer will monitor premises through CCTV, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as they arise.
Duties
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Utilize CCTV systems to observe and report any unusual behavior or incidents.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
Document incidents and prepare detailed reports on any security breaches or disturbances.
Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential disturbances effectively.
Qualifications
Previous experience in law enforcement or security preferred; certification in security training is a plus.
Proficient in using surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR; certification is highly desirable.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and strategies is beneficial.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
