The Corporate EMT Security Specialist is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, safety, and security of assets, property, team members, clients, and all visitors at all United Wholesale Mortgage locations.
This EMT Security Specialist will use various telecommunications devices to call for assistance from fire fighters, police forces, and emergency medical services. They will provide general emergency care for team members and respond to medical emergencies.
The EMT Security Specialist will also interview witnesses or victims to prepare case reports and testify in court if necessary.
This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Administers prescribed first-aid treatment at the site of emergency or in a specially equipped vehicle according to established medical protocols.
Obtains information from persons involved, examines victims, and determines the nature, extent, or magnitude of illness or injury to establish emergency medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance.
Provides any needed assistance to customers, team members, and visitors.
Performs security patrols by foot and/or by company vehicle.
Protects individuals and their property while controlling access to premises.
Neutralizes situations calmly with tact and common sense.
Watches for safety and protects property from fire hazards, trespassing, and other security-related situations.
Investigates and takes appropriate lawful action as authorized by the Corporate Security Leader on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire.
All other job duties as assigned including Training.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
Valid, Active EMT license.
High School Diploma.
2-3 years of recent EMT experience.
Meets physical needs of the job.
Meets all legal requirements to be able to work in the United States.
Demonstrates good moral fitness and ethical standards.
Effective verbal and nonverbalcommunication.
Ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
Detail-oriented with satisfactory literacy and writing, documentation, communications, and interpersonal abilities.
No disqualifying criminal history or convictions.
Ability to work alone responsibly and without supervision.
Completed the training requirements for an unarmed security officer in Michigan or have law enforcement experience.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Meets minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle:
No moving traffic violations in the past 3 years.
No at-fault accidents in the past 5 years.
Driver’s license not denied, suspended, or revoked in the last 3 years.
No driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI) convictions in the past 5 years.
Ability to work a 9am-6pm shift.
Monday through Friday hours; however, may be required to work nights, days, holidays, and weekends.
This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.
