Job Summary
The Security Account Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all security operations functions, including physical security, compliance, and incident response. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, managing security personnel, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to protect the organization’s assets and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and operational plans.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Develop and manage security budgets, including cost estimates for security initiatives and equipment.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise a team of Security Officers at several locations over a large geography.
Provide training and development to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Develop and implement performance metrics and conduct performance evaluations for the security team.
Incident Response and Management:
Coordinate and manage responses to security incidents, including breaches, threats, and emergencies.
Develop and maintain incident response plans, including communication strategies and crisis management procedures.
Conduct post-incident analysis to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Policy and Procedure Development:
Create, review, and update security policies and procedures to ensure IC meets standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to security and safety.
Security Operations Oversight:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and implement improvements as necessary.
Collaborate with Training and other departments to integrate security measures into organizational operations.
Communicate security policies and procedures to staff and ensure their adherence.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, incidents, and performance metrics to senior management.
Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, business administration, or a related field. Military or Law Enforcement experience or relevant certifications (e.g., PSP, CPP) is a plus.
Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in security operations, including experience in a managerial role.
Clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of security systems, protocols, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to security.
Working Conditions:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Prolonged driving over a large geography.
· Prolonged periods of walking in all weather conditions.
· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
· Additionally, the position requires near and far vision in reading correspondence and using the computer, and acute hearing when providing phone and counter service to the public.
· Must maintain flexibility regarding operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,000.00 – $79,000.00 per year
