Job Summary
The Loss Analysis Specialist II completes reconciliation and financial analysis on an array of servicing transactions to mitigate losses. The incumbent will closely partner with management and influence operations to reduce expenses and optimize recoveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Completes the reconciliation and loss analysis determining reasons for unrecovered expenses. Works with Default Management departments attempt recovery of losses.
Reviews all Corporate Advance transactions as a whole ensuring accurate posting and timely recovery.
Completes the system entries necessary for the clearing of all outstanding advances
Prepares reporting for all levels of management
Mentors junior staff and handles escalated issues.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
Associates degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience
Minimum of four years work experience in mortgage loan accounting and/or mortgage servicing operations
Working experience with reading, understanding, and interpreting servicing guides
Experience with processes improvement and system implementation
Functional/Technical Skills
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to analyze and interpret data.
Detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Displays strong organizational skills and manages time effectively.
