Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for enforcing security protocols, conducting surveillance, and ensuring the overall safety of the premises.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate assistance as needed.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide assistance during investigations.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences for management review.
Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively while maintaining professionalism.
Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.
Qualifications
Valid armed security officer certification is required.
Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other security technology.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and law enforcement personnel.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
First aid and CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held is required.
Must be able to pass background checks and any necessary pre-employment screenings.
