The Correctional Officer provides for the security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, during meals, recreation, work assignments, and all other activities in a correctional facility. Responsibilities include maintaining order and security, employing weapons or force if necessary, and ensuring safety.
You may have to employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Maintain order and security of inmates.
Work any shift and in various posts including armory, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
Core Civic recognizes military service as qualifying for positions requiring criminal justice experience.
You may be a fit for this role if you:
Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Complete required training; paid training and licensing provided.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Are available to work any hours, any shift.
Are at least 18 years of age.
