An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Country Manager to drive business growth and market expansion in Malaysia for a leading technology solutions provider. This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader with deep expertise in techno-sales, strong OEM relationships, and a proven track record in BFSI, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Market Expansion & Strategy
Develop and implement market entry and growth strategies for Malaysia, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to optimize product positioning and pricing.
Identify and establish strategic partnerships to enhance business operations and growth.
Oversee the regulatory approval process, ensuring compliance with local business and financial regulations.
✅ Business Development & Partnerships
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, vendors, and technology partners across Malaysia.
Define a commercial strategy, including pricing models, product positioning, and sales forecasts.
Leverage an established network of key accounts to drive revenue growth.
Lead marketing and promotional strategies, ensuring alignment with local market needs.
✅ P&L & Operations Leadership
Take full P&L ownership for Malaysia, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
Develop and manage budgets, sales targets, and operational expenses.
Oversee operational frameworks, including office setup, hiring, and team development.
Lead and scale a high-performance team across sales, technical, and operations.
✅ Industry Engagement & Representation
Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and strategic meetings.
Engage with regional and local partners to explore new business collaborations.
Key Requirements:
8-10 years’ experience in the Distribution/Technology industry, with strong exposure to business development and market expansion.
Extensive experience working with regional OEMs, particularly in the BFSI sector.
Strong understanding of cloud and information security solutions.
Established connections with 50+ large key accounts in Malaysia.
Proven expertise in channel management and commercial operations (taxation, credit, duty, invoicing, etc.).
A strategic leader with a proven ability to build, develop, and scale high-performing teams.
Strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, and cross-cultural communication abilities.
