A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As Country Security Manager (CSM), you will work remotely as part of the Global Security team within China. Under Global Security and other MKS applicable frameworks and policies, you will partner with all relevant divisions and functions to keep MKS people and assets safe and contribute to the business’s success. You will achieve this by championing, working directly on, and supporting the business with all Global Security programs, sub-programs, and functions. These include but are not limited to the following:
Core Security Requirements – Security risk assessments, incident and crisis management support, and threat management.
Site Security – Physical/electronic security guards, procedures, and procedures.
Human Factors in Security – Workplace violence, high-risk terminations, (investigations).
Geospatial Security – Travel security and event security.
You will achieve this by planning and directing the MKS Instruments (“MKS”) security function under the direction of the Chief Security Officer (“CSO”), manage the professional, technical, and support security staff assigned to facilities and security programs; develop, implement, and manage the strategic and tactical planning for MKS. Security services; and provide Country security leadership to the sites.
The Country Security Manager will manage complex security improvements across MKS China and security vendor relationships for facilities, as well as implement core security programs (Physical Security, Workplace Violence, Travel Security, Executive Protection, Supply Chain Security, and Crisis Management), while being customer-centric, demonstrating excellence by turning decisions into action, aiming high to win with integrity, and championing inclusion and growth.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Implement Security Core Global Security Programs by adapting them to Country needs and engaging with Country leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure buy-in.
Having and maintaining advanced subject matter expertise in security management, technology, and trends in the industry and region; provide expert security advice and perspective to senior managers and other stakeholders such that security issues are thoroughly evaluated, innovative approaches developed, and optimal solutions implemented; and develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for protecting people, facilities, and business.
Support, guidance, and training to Site Security Managers (“SSM”) and on-site Security Guards to ensure they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet corporate standards and customer needs.
Develop and guide Site Senior Leaders to measure the effectiveness of physical security at MKS sites and collaborate with other managers, leaders, and stakeholders to assess security risks, security services, and systems, provide innovative solutions, and develop improvement roadmaps.
Develop and manage threats to MKS by leading cross-functional efforts in dimensioning and mitigating significant security, cultural, and legal risks with Country level impact by working with stakeholders and peers in other functions and through the business, and mentor case leaders assigned workplace violence, theft, and other security-based investigations as required.
