Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Patrolling:
Conduct frequent foot patrols of parking areas and hotel perimeters.
Monitor for unauthorized vehicles, suspicious activity, and safety hazards.
Ensure the parking area is well lit, clean, and organized.
Security Checks & Access Control:
Perform regular security checks, including inspecting parked vehicles for compliance with hotel regulations.
Verify proper authorization for overnight parking.
Enforce parking regulations and control access to restricted areas.
Issue warnings or citations as necessary in accordance with hotel policy.
Customer Service:
Assist guests with parking inquiries, directions, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
Escort guests or staff to their vehicles upon request.
Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the shift.
Emergency Preparedness & Response:
Respond promptly to emergencies such as accidents, medical incidents, or disturbances.
Contact emergency services when necessary and follow established safety procedures.
Assist in evacuation or lockdown procedures if required.
CCTV & Surveillance Monitoring:
Observe security camera feeds and alarm systems for suspicious activity.
Record and report all incidents to management promptly.
Coordinate with hotel teams and law enforcement if needed.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed reports of shift activities, incidents, and guest interactions.
Submit incident reports to hotel management and follow up as directed.
Education, Skills and Abilities:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Security License or training in security procedures.
Experience: Prior security experience is preferred.
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for monitoring CCTV systems and completing reports.
Problem-Solving: Ability to remain alert and composed in high-pressure or emergency situations.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with guests and team members.
Attention to Detail: Commitment to high-quality standards and safety compliance.
Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors; exposure to variable weather, noise and lighting conditions.
