Role Overview-
Tesserent is excited to expand SOC operations into the United Kingdom to support our Australian and New
Zealand teams with 24/7 operations. We are currently seeking a Cyber Defence Analyst to join our team in
England as a foundational member, working within a small, but highly experienced and capable team of Cyber
Defence Analysts. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing global team, contribute to the establishment
and success of our new location, and have a significant impact on our cybersecurity capabilities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and SOC operations, as well as a proven
track record of detecting and responding to security incidents. As a Cyber Defence Analyst, you will work closely
with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security strategies and services to protect our client’s digital
assets.

Accountabilities-
• Analyse security data, including logs, network traffic, and threat intelligence, to identify patterns, trends,
and anomalies indicative of potential security incidents or threats
• Conduct advanced threat hunting activities, proactively searching for signs of compromise, hidden
threats, and potential vulnerabilities within client’s environment
• Assist with the design, implementation, and fine-tuning of security analytic and correlation rules, alerts,
and dashboards in the SIEM and other security tools to enhance the SOC team’s visibility and response
to emerging threats
• Collaborate with the SOC team to investigate and respond to security incidents, providing technical
expertise and guidance on the analysis and interpretation of security data
• Conduct research on emerging threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities, sharing findings with the team
and using this information to inform the development of new security analytics techniques and strategies
• Participate in the resolution of complex security incidents, providing technical expertise and support to
the SOC team
• Collaborate with other SOC and security leaders to share knowledge, insights, and best practices,
fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
