We’re seeking a Cyber Security Analyst (or Sr. Cyber Security Analyst) to join a high-impact team and help shape a secure digital future.
Responsibilities
Lead Incident Response efforts for security threats including ransomware, DDoS, privilege escalation, and unauthorized access
Conduct in-depth digital forensics on endpoints and cloud-based systems
Tune and analyze SIEM detections; leverage query languages for threat analysis
Build automation for security processes using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Coordinate with MSSPs and internal teams for threat response and monitoring enhancements
Engage in purple teaming exercises to enhance detection engineering
Harden systems using industry frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks
Configure, tune, and troubleshoot tools including CrowdStrike, Defender, and Nessus
Support red team testing efforts (optional but beneficial)
Document and refine incident response playbooks and vulnerability reports
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in Incident Response and SIEM analysis
Hands-on scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated experience with security automation and root cause analysis
Experience with vulnerability management and system hardening
Familiarity with forensic tools, detection engineering, and breach simulation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; Associate’s degree accepted
Preferred certifications: GCFE, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GCWN, GMON, GCUX, GCDA
Compensation & Work Modality
Base Salary: $115,000 to $145,000
Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days onsite per week (San Diego – Carmel Valley/Del Mar area)
Standard business hours with casual dress environment
