NXT GIG is in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Cyber Security Analyst to join our security team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization’s information systems and networks from security threats and vulnerabilities. You will monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents while implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your expertise will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating risks, as well as developing and executing security policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Monitor security alerts and analyze potential security incidents to determine the appropriate response
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in systems and applications
Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and awareness training programs
Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with organizational policies
Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions to enhance security posture
Investigate cybersecurity breaches and prepare reports on findings and recommendations
Support incident response efforts and recovery processes in the event of a security breach
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role is preferred
Strong understanding of network security, application security, and data protection principles
Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
