Project Overview: Cyber Uplift Program
6-month contract, with potential flexibility for extension.
We are supporting a client currently undertaking a significant Cyber Uplift Program aimed at enhancing cybersecurity across essential organizational areas. This program will elevate security capabilities to protect critical systems and data, aligning with the evolving cyber landscape.
Objectives:
Achieve Essential Eight Maturity Level 1 for schools and Maturity Level 2 for corporate environments.
Implement a cyber monitoring uplift and identity management (IDM) uplift.
Develop and execute a cybersecurity strategy integrated into broader organizational goals.
Purpose:
Support the Cyber Uplift Program by providing expert architectural guidance to implement Essential Eight Maturity Levels and other program deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Act as a dedicated architecture resource for the Cyber Uplift Program.
Collaborate with internal cybersecurity, project, and architecture teams, as well as external partners.
Lead the development and execution of cybersecurity strategies.
Provide hands-on guidance for day-to-day program activities and tackle technical challenges.
Ensure alignment and buy-in from business and technical teams through effective communication.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Strong background in enterprise architecture, with a focus on cybersecurity.
Proven experience in delivering Essential Eight, ISO 27001, or NIST security standards.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies.
Exceptional soft skills to manage resistance and communicate effectively across diverse teams.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Reporting Structure:
Embedded within the Cyber Uplift Program, working closely with project teams.
Reports to one of the directors in Enterprise Architecture.
Challenges:
Managing resistance from diverse teams (business and technical).
Delivering results within tight timelines during the program’s critical phase.
Work Environment:
Hybrid model(2-3 days in-office presence required), with flexibility depending on circumstances.
