About the Role
The Director of IT Security & Compliance is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing security policies, procedures, and technologies to safeguard our SaaS platform, corporate infrastructure, and customer data. This role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices while proactively mitigating security risks. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this leader will collaborate cross-functionally to integrate security into all aspects of our business.
Responsibilities
Build, operationalize, and maintain a strategic, comprehensive, and cross-functional Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with best practices and security standards
Lead the Information Security Steering Committee; lead quarterly meetings to bring awareness, facilitate trade-off discussions, and report on information risk and effectiveness of the company’s data privacy program
Oversee security operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks.
Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation plans; serve as primary point of contact in external audits
Lead the implementation of security controls, tools, and technologies to protect data and infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development, cloud operations, and IT systems.
Oversee security awareness training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity threats and best practices.
Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, mitigation, and communication with stakeholders.
Oversee third-party vendor security assessments and ensure compliance with company security standards.
Stay informed of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively enhance security posture.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred)
8+ years of experience in IT security, compliance, and risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.)
Experience with cloud security, particularly in SaaS environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Expertise in security technologies such as SIEM, endpoint protection, IAM, firewalls, and encryption
Proven experience in incident response, security operations, and risk management
Strong leadership, communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills
