Job Description:

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting our SaaS platform and infrastructure from security threats and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with our engineering, operations, and compliance teams to design, implement, and maintain robust security controls and measures to safeguard our systems and data. This role offers the chance to work on diverse security initiatives, drive innovation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures to protect our SaaS platform and infrastructure.

Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, and respond to security alerts and breaches in a timely manner.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Perform security reviews of third-party vendors, applications, and services to assess risks and ensure compliance with security requirements.

Provide security guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and customer support.

Stay up-to-date on emerging threats, security trends, and best practices in cybersecurity, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.

5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on securing SaaS platforms and cloud environments.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices, including secure coding practices, encryption, authentication, and access control.

Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, endpoint protection, and identity management.

Proficiency in cloud security best practices and technologies, particularly AWS or Azure.

Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems and identify security risks.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.

Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
