Team: 3 Architects, 1 Lead Engineer, 1 Cybersecurity Engineer (this role)

Role Overview:The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the security tool stack and technologies. This role involves ensuring the security tools are properly configured and operating efficiently. The engineer will work closely with the team to consolidate and improve the security stack, maturing its use and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain security tools and technologies.
Ensure security tools are configured and operating correctly.
Collaborate with architects to align engineering efforts with security standards and guidelines.
Focus on consolidating and improving the security tool stack.
Work independently to manage tasks and projects.
Operate in a mixed environment (Linux, Windows Server, Windows, and Mac deskside), with a heavier focus on Windows.
Manage Azure Active Directory for identity management.
Consolidate security tools such as Proofpoint, Imperva, Akamai (WAF), SentinelOne, and CrowdStrike.
Work with SIEM platforms, with experience in Q Radar or similar.
Typical Workday:
The workday can vary significantly, with tasks changing daily.
Primary focus will be on ensuring security tools are configured and operating properly.
Interviews:
First Interview: and the Lead Engineer (technical focus, including some whiteboarding).
Second Interview: Conducted by another team member (cultural fit).
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity (junior to mid-level).
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Experience in a mixed environment (Linux, Windows Server, Windows, and Mac deskside).
Proficiency with Azure Active Directory for identity management.
Experience with security tools such as Proofpoint, Imperva, Akamai (WAF), SentinelOne, and CrowdStrike.
Experience with SIEM platforms (Q Radar or similar).
Nice to Have:
Coding/scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
Penetration testing experience (not necessary).

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
