About the job
We are seeking a motivatedCyber Security Engineerwith strong expertise in network hardening, secure network design, and building secure systems from the ground up. As a Cyber Security Engineer at ALTEN, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust cybersecurity measures across complex systems. You will work closely with engineering teams, program teams, and external stakeholders to ensure the network and systems are secure by design, compliant with industry standards, and meet operational requirements.
Key responsibilities:
System Design and Network Security:
Analyze system and network requirements, and design secure architectures from scratch, ensuring network hardening and the application of best security practices.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (such as safety, software, and product engineering) to solve integration challenges and ensure secure system functionality.
Conduct technical reviews and consult with stakeholders on security architecture, designs, and solutions.
Documentation and Compliance:
Formalize system and network security specifications, ensuring traceability, compliance with operational and constructional standards, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Manage and maintain configuration of work products, overseeing design revisions and updates.
Develop comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and training materials on security measures and protocols.
Project Support and Security Operations:
Provide support to application architects during tenders and project phases by analyzing security needs, evaluating potential vulnerabilities, and suggesting security solutions.
Participate in procurement activities, material selection, and technical reviews with a focus on network security and hardening.
Ensure ongoing security by supporting change requests, troubleshooting anomalies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in security protocols.
Technology Innovation and Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cybersecurity, network security, and emerging technologies.
Contribute to the innovation of secure designs and share lessons learned from previous projects to improve overall processes and security measures.
About you
You hold a Degree in Engineering or a related field.
You are fluent inEnglish(spoken and written).
You have proven experience in network security, system hardening, and the ability to design and implement secure networks from scratch.
You are proactive, analytical, and able to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver secure, high-quality solutions.
