Job Description
Technical Skills :
Deploy, configure, and maintain Fortinet Forti Web & F5 on Cloud based solutions like OCI , Azure , AWS
and On Prem
Manage and optimize WAF rules, policies, and configurations to protect against OWASP Top 10 threats.
Ensure high availability and performance of WAF solutions.
SSL offloading configuration on the Fortinet Forti Web/F5
Experience in managing SSL certificates & Keys,
Experience in onboarding new application on Forti Web/F5
Continuously monitor WAF logs, alerts, and traffic patterns to detect and mitigate potential security threats.
Implement, refine, and maintain security policies, rate limiting, and bot mitigation techniques.
Collaborate with security teams to investigate security incidents and implement countermeasures.
Develop and fine-tune WAF security policies based on web application needs and security requirements.
Knowledge of web technologies:TLS/SSL, Web Sockets, APIs, JSON, XML.
Conduct regular updates and fine tuning of signatures, rules, and custom policies to enhance security posture.
Create exemptions and custom rules where necessary to balance security with application functionality.
Integrate WAF solutions with SIEM tools .
Perform root cause analysis of security events and application issues related to WAF configurations.
Work with application and Dev Ops teams to troubleshoot false positives and enhance application security.
Provide timely response to security incidents and participate in incident response exercises.
Ensure WAF configurations comply with industry standards such asPCI DSS and ISO 27001.
Generate periodic security reports on attack trends, false positives, and WAF effectiveness.
Maintain accurate documentation of WAF configurations, policies, and procedures
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure application security requirements are met.
Provide guidance and training to internal teams on best practices for web application security.
Strong troubleshooting andanalytical skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
Fortinet NSE 4 or higher (especially Forti Web )
F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) – ASM or AWAF is a plus
Experience:
8+ years of experience in Web Application Firewall management.
Hands-on experiencewithFortinet Forti Web
Strong understanding ofOWASP Top 10, bot mitigation, DDoS protection, API security, and cloud-based WAF solutions.
Experience integrating WAF withload balancers, SIEM.
