The Job in a Nutshell We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Governance Officer to join our growing team. This level requires good knowledge of Cybersecurity Governance and information Security Compliance and also good knowledge of Cybersecurity policies, standards and guidelines. Knowledge of security exceptions, cyber security awareness, cyber security compliance programs including SAMA CSF, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, NCA mandates, guidelines and policies are also required. This level is required to perform the assigned duties independently or with minimum guidance.
What Will You Do❓
Partner with leadership to define and implement the organization’s cyber security strategy
Develop and maintain cyber security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and relevant frameworks (e.g., SMAM CSF, NCA-ECC, NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
Conduct regular reviews of existing cyber security policies and procedures, recommending and implementing necessary updates
Participate in security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, identifying and prioritizing threats
Develop and oversee cyber security incident response plans and procedures, ensuring effective response and recovery in case of a breach
Manage and maintain cyber security awareness and training programs for employees
Track and report on key cyber security metrics to leadership and stakeholders
Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure integration of security controls across the organization
Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber security threats and trends, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies
Participate in establishing and maintaining Cybersecurity KPI and metrics and for Management Reports on security posture
What Are We Looking For❓
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cyber security, preferably in a governance or compliance role
Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks (e.g., SAMA CSF, NCA ECC, NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Saudi Nationals Only
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and levels
Strong writing and documentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Who Will Excel❓
Project management experience is desirable
Experience with security awareness and training programs is a plus
Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred
Certifications such as Security+ or ISC² CC are a plus
