ResponsibilitiesJob Description:
Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks
Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities
Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified security risks
Assist in the design, deployment, and configuration of security technologies and tools
Engage in security solutioning to recommend and tailor appropriate security tools and technologies based on the client’s requirements and threat landscape
Monitor and analyze security events, logs, and alerts to detect and respond to potential threats
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of security measures into the overall IT infrastructure
Provide support and training to end-users on security best practices and policies
Contribute to the development of security policies, procedures, and documentation
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a robust security governance framework, including risk management, compliance, and incident response processes
Participate in the creation and review of security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to promote a strong security culture
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and industry regulations
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s security posture and the evolution of its cybersecurity strategy
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory)
Familiarity with basic networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles
Some exposure to common security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanning tools
Understanding of security governance frameworks at a high level, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or COBIT
Ability to interpret security data and identify potential issues
Willingness to learn and apply security risk assessment methodologies
Interest in security solutioning and the desire to develop skills in designing and implementing security solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Eagerness to continuously learn and grow in the cybersecurity field
Relevant internship or hands-on experience in a cybersecurity-related role is a plus, but not required
