Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) with a focus on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Enhance management reporting and presentations to provide valuable insights to leadership.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the SOC team, leading advanced investigations and providing escalation support when necessary.
Directly manage and evaluate the performance of SOC team members to ensure optimal productivity and effectiveness.
Review all reported security incidents and assume the role of Incident Manager, collaborating with stakeholders across various business units and organizational levels throughout the incident response and remediation process.
Spearhead the development of innovative strategies to enhance security operations, including the creation of new use cases, processes, and playbooks, such as Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) features.
Oversee and manage third-party vendors in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
Direct the SOC Lab to facilitate comprehensive malware analysis, sandboxing, and other digital forensics activities as required.
Project management as directed by senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent extensive practical experience.
Possession of GIAC Cyber Security Certification or CISSP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Sentinel and familiarity with various SOAR tools.
Familiarity with Endpoint and Network Detection and Response, with preference given to experience with Microsoft MDE and Vectra NDR.
Hands-on involvement in cyber security incident management within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
Substantial experience in Information Security Management System and IT Service management.
